12 Duck-Hyun, Cho Cho Duck-Hyun: Genealogy: On My Father
Seoul, Korea Kukje Gallery 1996 First Edition Folded Wraps Near-Fine Issued Without Jacket Book
70-page catalogue for an exhibition held September 11-25, 1996. All plates in color (where there was color--what he's done with wedding portraits is especially interesting). Fascinating look at the artist's approach to "genealogy": particularly stunning is an installation in which infant photographs are placed in paper boxes lined with fabric and lit from above, so that there are day- and night-time versions. In another take on the same installation, the boxes are standing up and lit from in front, and there is a live baby boy standing amidst them. Pow. Near-Fine in folded wraps as issued: the colophon (last) page is creased.

14 Egami, Namio, Jiro Sugiyama, Toh Sugimura [essays] The Exhibition of Treasures of Syrian Antiquity
Nagoya, Japan The Aichi Prefectural Art Gallery 1977 First Edition Stiff Wraps As Issued Near-Fine Issued Without Jacket Book
Some text and captions in English; otherwise, much of the information contained in this comprehensive catalogue is in Japanese (laid in are helpful essays by the contributors, in English). The many black and white plates, however, tell the story very well. I'd have liked to see a little brochure documenting the responses of visitors to the Exhibition. Near-Fine in wraps with light wear to edges and corners and rubbing to rear (white) cover.
