217 Jiyuan, Wan Global Art Tour: Exhibition of Oil Paintings from Life By Wan Jiyuan
Beijing, China China National Museum of Fine Arts 2001 First Edition Folded Wraps Fine Issued Without Jacket Book
40-page catalogue for an exhibition held August 14-August 19, 2001, with text in English and Chinese, including an "autobiography" by the artist, really an account of his global travels. Illustrated with 28 color plates of mostly impressionistic paintings, heavy on the brushwork. The view of lower Manhattan with the World Trade Center and of the Guggenheim are interesting, as is a colorful panorama of an Indian festival. While the settings vary, the painting generally does not. This copy probably signed by the artist to the first free endpaper (at least, the scribble there compares favorably to a scribble on the front cover). Fine in wraps as issued.
