44 Behrens, T. T. Behrens
London UK William Darby Gallery 1974 First Edition Cardstock Near-Fine Issued Without Jacket Book
Behrens's acrylics are not quite representational, not quite illustration, and very disturbing. Only the cover painting is in color, sadly; one would have liked to see the colors in "Fox into lady," a 5-foot square painting. Very good in cardstock covers (front pastedown excellent), with light soiling to edges.

London Modern Art 2001 Stiff Wraps Fine Issued Without Jacket Book

56 Boezem, Marinus Marinus Boezem [1993]

48-page catalogue for an exhibition held June 5-August 15, 1993, one of 1000 printed. Boezem is clearly a modern Dutch artist, from his choice of media (metal, cotton, ink, even pigeon food), his confident use of drawing, installation, and mixed media, and--to my eye anyway--his palette (12 color plates). Near-Fine folded textured white wraps with color thumbnail to front cover, lightly soiled.
