2621 Various Private Realities: Recent American Photography [1974]
Boston Museum of Fine Arts 1974 First Edition Hard Cover Fine Very Good
This collection was published to coincide with the Museum's first major exhibition of photography, and thus is an historic document. The photographers included Emmet Gowin, Cary Wasserman, Jerry Uelsmann, Judy Dater, and Benno Friedman, among others. There are four images by each photographer (two are in color), and nearly all are "experimental", either because the prints or the original shots have been manipulated somehow or because the subjects are freaky (70s technical term) or deliberately abstract. Anyway, interesting. Fine hardcover binding in Very Good dust jacket with chip to lower edge at spine tail, closed tear and rough top edge.
