1 Vassos, John Magictron: A Presentation
New York RCA 1945 First Edition Stiff Card Wraps Fine  Issued Without Jacket Ephemera John Vassos
16-page presentation brochure produced by RCA to introduce Magictron, a corporate logo symbolizing "wireless in all its manifestations…an instantaneous visual all-encompassing dramatization of radio. television and electronics," in the words of John Vassos, the industrial designer, artist, illustrator, and writer who wrote the brochure and designed the object (photographed here, not incidentally, by Marthe Krueger). Illustrated with black and white photographs of Magictron (a flying figure) and sketches of other logos. In near-Fine condition: light soil to white covers and light toning to interior pages.
