New York New York Cultural Center/Women in the Arts 1973 First Edition Wraps As Issued Very Good to Near-Fine Issued Without Jacket Book 
Catalogue for an exhibition held January 12-February 18, 1973. Women in the Arts [WIA] earned its place by a demonstration in front of MOMA, and an open letter to New York museums to rethink their ignorance of women artists. This show, the result, included only 109 of nearly 500 WIA members, but set a precedent. It included artists as diverse as Buffie Johnson, Betty Parsons, and Mary Frank, from both coasts and lots of places in between, with and without gallery representation. 128 pages, with all of the participating artists represented by a black and white plate. In Very Good condition with moderate wear to corners and edges.

Franklin & Marshall College 1979 First Edition Wraps As Issued Near-Fine Issued Without Jacket Book 
Catalogue for an exhibition held February 15-March 12, 1979 and related ephemera. Four pages, with an essay, "Narrowing the Gapů" by Folke T. Kihlstedt, and two black and white plates of the paintings-none of the color Xeroxes, unfortunately. Laid in is a photocopy of an article by Donald B. Kuspit, "Art of Conscience: The Last Decade", published in Dialogue: The Ohio Arts Journal Sept/Oct 1980 discussing Stevens and Rudolf Baranik, also stamped by the Johnson. Fine condition, with faint stamp from the Johnson Art Museum to rear cover.

1990 First Edition Wraps As Issued Very Good++ Issued Without Jacket Periodical 
206 pages plus advertising. One of the few periodicals to continue using the "f" word, this issue features articles on movies in black Chicago 1905-28, burlesque, "nickelodeons, amusement parks, and the sighs of female sexuality," film censorship, and "Elvis as medium", among others. Very Good++, with few pen marks, previous owner's name on contents page, light wear to edges and corners.

Dresden, Germany 1991 First Edition Card With Wraps Fine Very Good Book 
Oversized, 100-page catalogue of the work of an amazing group of women: painters, sculptors, conceptual artists. Illustrated with many plates, about half of them in color, and photographs of the groups and some individuals. The artists include Lenore Adler, Sigrid Artes, Regine Buer, Christa Donner, Heidemarie Drebel, many more, including Karin Weber. All text is in German. Fine card covers in Very Good paper jacket with moderate wear to the edges. As a kind of bonus, laid in is a folded poster for a 1993 exhibition featuring some of the Sezession artists: gold with black image.very striking.

1976 First Edition Paper Near-Fine Issued Without Jacket Periodical 
Vol. 5, no. 1, Spring 1976. Included in this issue are interviews with Isabel Bishop and Lynn Miller and articles on medieval women artists, Maria Cosway, women in architecture in Cambridge, and a review of the Vassar show sponsored by A.I.R. Gallery, "7 American Women: The Depression Decade"-a copy of the catalogue from that show just happens to be listed here. This issue of FAJ is in near-Fine condition with light wear to edges and ends.
