292 pages; heavy; ambitious. Organized by Lawrence R. Rinder (who contributed an essay), with essays by Chrissie Iles, Christiane Paul, and Debra Singer, and a CD containing sound art by 13 of the artists in the exhibition (a brief guide to the CD is inserted inside the rear cover. Impossible to give any idea of the contents, really; artists included range from Peggy Ahwesh to John Zurier (with a few collectives), the media are all over the place, there are lots of images (mostly in color, but I somehow wanted more of them and less text), the documentation is extensive in terms of artists' biographies/chronologies, and it's designed for the reference shelf. Fine in cardboard decorated covers.
