Catalogue for an exhibition held March 3-April 4, 1987 at the Zabriskie Gallery in New York, with an informed essay by Bruce Altshuler. On the surface, Woodman's New England background and subject matter may say, "regional artist" or "folk" artist, but consider that the wall reliefs shown here are made of paint on aluminum, and that the homely figures and almost-familiar scenes painted to look cosy and human are in fact clearly of their material. Six works illustrated here in color, one on the cover and five inside. Fine condition, just faintly soiled to white ground.
