Leonard wasn't convinced that the movie was or ever would be an art form, but just in case, he has written this highly disciplined approach to the form, which he conceived as a combination of photography and painting. Near-fine hardcover binding (with dazzling textured silver endpapers) just slightly cocked; in Very Good dust jacket with crisp edges; unfortunately, someone may have set a wet cup or glass square in the center of the front panel (no corresponding damage to the board underneath).
