88-page catalogue for the Belgian Congo and Ruanda-Urundi Section of the 1958 Brussels Exhibition, divided into Art and Its Means of Expression, Figurative Art, Applied Arts and Crafts, Music, Literature, and Theatrical Arts. More than 90 plates, a number in color. The text is, as might be expected, rather colonial in tone, and European artists working in Congo are included, but in all, a useful reference and snapshot of a moment in art history. This copy embossed with the stamp of the Brooklyn Museum Library to the half-title page, with small label to lower rear corner.

Price = 20.00 USD
