80-page catalogue for an exhibition held at UC-Santa Barbara November 11-December 20, 1992, and thereafter at the Museum Folkwang in Essen, Germany, the Forum Stadtpark in Graz, Austria, the Neues Museum Weserburg Bremen in Bremen, Germany, and winding up at the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art in Humlebaek, Denmark, in 1993. An essay by Abigail Solomon-Godeau (in German and English) introduces the theme of the exhibition…cultural and multicultural identity. Never mind, however, just enjoy the multi collection of artists: Theresa Hak Kyung Cha, Jimmie Durham, Connie Hatch, Mary Kelly, Adrian Piper, Martha Rosler, and Carrie Mae Weems among them. Illustrated with 10 color plates and many others in black and white, plus biographies and selected bibliographies on the artists and an "identities" exhibition list. Fine in stiff wraps as issued.
