160-page catalogue for an exhibition organized by the J.B. Speed Art Museum in Louisville, Kentucky, that traveled from the Wight Art Gallery at UCLA, the Butler in Youngstown, Ohio, and the National Museum of Women in the Arts before ending up in Louisville. Illustrated with more than 130 plates, nearly half of which are in color, with essays by the curator, Thalia Gouma-Peterson, Patricia Hills, Lawrence Alloway, and Susan P. Casteras. In addition, there are detailed notes, a catalogue raisonne of Flack's paintings and sculpture, a biography, an exhibition history, a selected bibliography, and--good idea--a useful index. A neat piece of scholarship, and a handy reference to the work of this prolific artist. Fine hardcover binding in near-Fine dust jacket with shelf-wear and remains of a price sticker to front panel.
