240-page survey, illustrated with 65 images in color and 159 in black and white, published to accompany the exhibition, Magna Brava, held at the Scottish National Portrait Gallery in Edinburgh November 5, 1999-January 30, 2000). Introductory comments by Isabella Rossellini, Christiane Amanpour, and Sheena McDonald, plus a critical essay by Sara Stevenson, and brief look at the work of Lise Sarfati, a next-generation documentary photographer. You'll flip through again and again, and find an image that stuns (an impossibly intimate 1961 Inge Morath portrait of Adlai Stevenson and Eleanor Roosevelt, for example). This copy withdrawn from a museum library, with stamps to copyright page, taped spine label, and dust jacket in Mylar taped to boards. Otherwise, Fine hardcover binding in Fine dust jacket.
