Catalogue for an exhibition held October 24-November 19, 1978. Well known for his California-inspired Asian work (or his Asian-inspired California work), the artist studied with both Leger and Kuniyoshi. Besides the black and whites, four color plates (one a double in the center) plus color cover convey the unique quality of Kanemitsu's watercolor technique. Rather than the muddle most abstract watercolors present, his "Birth of Black Moon" (Sumi and watercolor on paper, 1972) is pulsing with color and form. Includes brief biography, lists of solo and group exhibitions and public collections, plus a selected bibliography. The catalogue in near-Fine condition, with a bit of wear to edges and corners.

Price = 30.00 USD
